Punjab Assembly admin indifferent to expensive electricity as lights remain switched on all day

LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly administration continues its negligent approach by leaving lights on unnecessarily and even in the day times despite the soaring electricity costs and shortage.

It has been reported on Friday that various polls and trees within the premises of the Punjab Assembly remain illuminated with dozens of lights even during daylight hours.

The channel reported that the lights in the vicinity and parking areas of the assembly on Friday morning continue to remain switched on and no efforts was made by the staff present at the assembly secretariat to switch off the lights.

This careless attitude towards expensive energy conservation and fiscal responsibility has raised concerns among citizens who are paying heavy amounts in the head of electricity bills.

This negligence also urged high ups of the province and concerned authorities to take immediate action to address this wasteful practice.
