KARACHI: Sindh government on Friday announced public holiday in all educational institutions of the province on Monday, February 26 on the occasion of Shab-e-Baraat.
According to decision taken by the Steering Committee of Sindh Education Department, all the public and private educational institutions will remain closed on February 26 on account of Shab-e-Baraat (15th Shaban, 1445).
The provincial education department has issued an official notification in this regard.
Muslims in Pakistan and around the world observe Shab-e-Barat every year. The night is believed as The Night of Fortune and Forgiveness which comes in the run-up to the start of the month of Ramadan.
