Schools to remain closed on February 4 for Shab-e-Barat
The Sindh government has declared February 4, 2026, a holiday for all schools in observance of Shab-e-Barat, ensuring students can participate in this religious occasion.

The Sindh government has announced a one-day holiday for all public and private educational institutions across the province on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in observance of Shab-e-Barat.
The decision was conveyed through a notification issued on January 30 by the School Education and Literacy Department.
According to the notification, the closure will apply to all public and private schools operating under the administrative control of the Government of Sindh. All relevant authorities have been instructed to ensure the decision is implemented in full and that the notification is circulated to educational institutions across the province.
Shab-e-Barat, which falls on the 15th of Shaban, is a religious occasion observed by Muslims with prayers and other devotional activities.
