Steam, not stem

The Science-Technology-Engineering-Math (STEM) stream of education is gaining popularity in Pakistan. Ignoring Arts is bound to produce disastrous results for an already struggling society, like the one we have in Pakistan. Subjects falling under the Arts umbrella develop empathy among students. They also spark imagination and creativity. Does education without empathy, creativity and imagination have any utility for our society? While Science provides ease to humans, Arts provides emotional comfort. Let us go for STEAM, not STEM.
