Fuel price likely to be reduced from Dec 16

ISLAMABAD: Petrol and diesel prices are likely to decrease by 13 and 15 rupees per liter respectively, effective December 16th.

According to media reports, this potential price drop comes on the back of a 5.49 dollar per barrel decrease in the global petrol market. If the government finalizes the proposed reduction on December 15th, it will bring the price of petrol down from the current 281.34 rupees per liter to 268.34 rupees. Similarly, diesel prices could drop from 289.79 rupees to 274.79 rupees per liter.
The final decision on the new prices will be announced by the government on December 15th, and the revised prices will be implemented the following day.
