Barrister Shehzad Ata Elahi appointed new AGP

ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi has approved appointment of Barrister Shehzad Ata Elahi, a Supreme Court advocate, as Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP).

Shahzad Ata Elahi was appointed as AGP after Mansoor Usman Awan had declined to accept the post.

The President granted the approval of the appointment in accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and Rules of Business.
