Multan clinches NBP T-20 ‘Blind Cricket’ trophy

MULTAN: Multan blind cricket team has won the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) T-20 Blind cricket trophy 2022 (Grade-2), Multan by defeating Abbottabad with a margin of 74 runs. The final match was played at Sports Complex Stadium here on Friday.

Abbottabad won the toss and asked Multan to take guard.

Multan Team’s Captain Muhammad Safdar played an extraordinary innings of unbeaten 213* runs and well supported by Ghulam Akbar who added 59 runs in the total. The Multan team finished with a giant total of 306 runs for the loss of two wickets in stipulated 20 overs.

Abbottabad was able to score 232 runs by losing five wickets in 20 overs.
Riasat Khan remained top scorer with unbeaten 148 runs. Arslan and Akbar took one wicket each.

Muhammad Safdar from Multan team was declared man of the match.

On this occasion, Business Head NBP Sail Abbas, Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Syed Sultan Shah, Divisional Sports officer Rana Nadeem Anjum were the chief guests who distributed prizes among the players.
