Police arrest 3 armed persons after mob attacks Malir SP office

50 people stormed the office of the Malir superintendent of police (SP) on Friday where three armed individuals were arrested by Karachi police

According to a statement issued by Malir Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Irfan Bahadur, some people were detained by the police after being involved in aerial firing during a wedding in Quaidabad’s Pakistan Housing Society. In retaliation, around 50 to 60 people attacked the Malir SP office to get the detained people released.

Constable Ahsan Ali was also injured during the mob attack while the mob resorted to aerial firing.

Police spokesperson Shazia Jahan commented, “A case has been registered and further action is continuing.” 

She also added that the police are trying to identify the attackers through CCTV footage.
