Opp opposing electoral reforms, PMDA without reading drafts: minister

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari were opposing the proposed election reforms and Pakistan Media Development Authority without reading even a word of the draft proposals, said Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry.

In a tweet scathingly critical of the two opposition leaders, Chaudhry claimed the two men were also unaware of what the recommendations suggested.

The opposition in Pakistan had only one role, and that was to oppose every action of the government and for that purpose, it will enter into an alliance even with Satan, he declared.

“It was unfortunate that those people whose decisions for themselves were taken by others harboured ambitions to lead Pakistan.”
