KARACHI: Dengue fever has claimed another life in Karachi, taking the death toll from this mosquito-borne disease to 12 since Jan 1.
Spokesman Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, said a 21-year-old girl, Azra Jehan, resident of Kiamari area of Karachi died due to dengue fever in Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital.
Azra Jehan was admitted in Lyari Hospital with fever where she died due to dengue–related complications.
In 2019, a total of 3,332 dengue cases have been detected across the Sindh province so far out of them, 3,151 were reported in Karachi and 181 in other districts.
