The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated probes against several politicians including former Evacuee Trust Property Board chairman Siddiqul Farooq, Azhar Qayyum Nahra, former railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Nasir Iqbal Bosal, Saiful Maluk, Chaudhry Riazul Haq and former chief minister (CM) Manzoor Wattoo.
A NAB official said, “The bureau has initiated a probe against Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo for alleged embezzlement during his tenure as the federal minister in 2008-13.”
“Siddiqul Farooq has allegedly leased a piece of land in Lahore illegally,” the official added.
The latest inquiry against the former railways ministers includes the purchase of 55 locomotives at high rates and allegedly leasing railways land illegally.
