PESHAWAR: A 30-year-old doctor was reportedly found dead in his hostel room on Monday in Peshawar.
Trainee doctor Ehsanullah, a native of Tank district, at the Lady Reading Hospital’s ophthalmology department was found dead under ‘mysterious circumstances’.
The hospital spokesperson Zulfiqar Babakhail said, “Authorities reached the spot where they found the doctor dead.”
“Initial reports suggest that the doctor died of a cardiac arrest,” he added. The body was shifted to Khyber Medical college. An investigation into the incident is underway.
Separately, a man poisoned his wife over a domestic issue in Shafiqabad area of the metropolis late on Sunday. The woman, identified as Sumera Bibi, had tied the knot with Murtaza a couple of years ago.
Police said that relationship between the couple had soured and arguments had become a matter of daily routine. The law enforcement agency are on the search for the accused.
