LAHORE: A postgraduate doctor at Jinnah Hospital was found dead in her hostel room on Friday morning.
Dr Asim, medical superintendent at the hospital, has identified her as Dr Uroosha Noreen Mirza, though the cause of death has not been identified yet.
Dr Urooj, the deputy medical superintendent, has revealed that an injection was found next to the deceased’s body. Her parents, who hail from Gujrat, have refused to do a post-mortem on the body.
A spokesperson of the provincial health ministry has claimed that the death appears to be an act of suicide. However, there is no definite answer until the investigation is complete, the spokesperson added.
