KOTRI: A fourth-year medical student at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) was found dead in his hostel room on Sunday, according to police.
DSP Kotri stated that initial inquiries suggest the incident may have been a suicide, but further investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of death.
In a separate incident in Peshawar, police recovered the body of another student from a private hostel and have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of death and collect evidence.
These deaths come amidst a series of student suicides across the country, including a recent case in Lahore’s Sundar area, where an 18-year-old took his life after struggling with an exam. Police reported that the teenager hung himself at home.
