KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Kaleem Imam on Friday ordered an inquiry into mysterious suicide by a student of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) in Jamshoro.
Sindh IGP instructed deputy inspector general (DIG) Hyderabad to make a detailed inquiry into the incident. The investigation should be conducted properly to dig out the real causes of the incident. A third-year MBBS student, identified as Muhammad Atif Arain, was found shot dead in his hostel room on Thursday.
According to a LUMHS spokesman Dr Saroop Bhatia, Atif’s body was found lying on the bed with a pistol in his hand.
