Lahore: A doctor associated with Children’s Hospital was found dead inside his car in the Children’s Hospital’s parking area, according to police officials.
The deceased was identified as Dr Ahmed Latif, who was serving in the hospital’s haematology department and was in-charge of the blood bank.
Police said the body was several days old when it was discovered. Initial information indicated that Dr Latif had been missing for the past three days. His family had informed the hospital administration about his disappearance before the body was found.
According to police, the body was recovered from Dr Latif’s vehicle, which had been parked in the hospital parking area. After receiving the information, law enforcement personnel reached the site, collected evidence and began legal formalities.

Preliminary findings, according to investigators, suggest that Dr Ahmed may have been facing mental stress in recent months because of domestic issues.
The discovery of the body in the hospital parking area prompted a police response, with officials securing the scene as part of the initial investigation. No further details were provided in the report about the cause of death.
Police have initiated legal proceedings following the recovery of the body from the vehicle.
