Dervish protesters clash with police in Iran, 3 dead

TEHRAN:

Protests by the Sufi Dervish community outside a police station in Tehran resulted in clashes that have led to the death of three policemen. The policemen are reported to have been hit by a bus. The driver and nine other protestors have been arrested.

The Dervish community had organised a sit-in protest against the police for detaining one of their members. Videos uploaded on social media show police using riot gear and tear gas against the protestors.
