Train derails near Kala Shah Kaku

LAHORE: Three bogies of a Lahore-bound passenger train derailed on Friday night near Sheikhupura’s Kala Shah Kaku area, affecting traffic and leading to the cancellation of some local trains however no loss of life was reported in the incident.

Khyber Mail train was travelling from Peshawar to Lahore when three of its bogies came off the rails near Shah Kala Kaku area of Sheikhupura district.

Soon after the incident, a relief train was dispatched to the incident site to take the passengers of Khyber Mail to Lahore.

Similarly, five days ago on Monday, three bogies of a freight train derailed Shahdara railway station while being shifted from one track to another.
