TOBA TEK SINGH: A coach of the Lahore-Karachi 28-DN Shalimar Express left the track near the outer signal of Khanewal Junction railway station on Sunday, but no passengers were reported injured.
The train was moving slowly when the bogie derailed, and the affected compartment's occupants remained safe. After repair work at the site, the train resumed its journey.
Sources said the incident was believed to have been caused by a technical problem in the wheels of the bogie. Railway authorities, however, have ordered an inquiry to determine the cause of the derailment.
