Faisalabad: A train arriving from Karachi to Lahore derailed near Faisalabad affecting schedule of other trains on Thursday.
According to the local media, Karakoram Express coming from Karachi to Lahore derailed near the Faisalabad railway station. No loss of life was reported.
Concerned railway officials told media that efforts are underway to put the derailed carriages of Karakoram Express back on track so that it can continue the journey. In the meantime, all railway traffic has been put on a halt to avoid accidents.
It should be mentioned here that the staff managing the Faisalabad railway station is showing negligence in fulfilling duties assigned to them. This is the second accident in less than seven days.
