KHYBER AGENCY: Two Frontier Corps were killed and six terrorists were killed in a cross-border attack in Khyber Agency on Friday, SAMAA reported on Friday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), militants from across Pakistan-Afghan border reportedly attacked an FC check post in Khyber Agency.
Frontier Corps gave a befitting reply to the attack, killing six terrorists.
It should be noted that a Frontier Corps man was also killed and another sustained injuries when two suicide attackers targeted an FC training centre in Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The latest terror incidents come at a time when Pakistan and Afghanistan are agreed to de-escalate tensions by strengthening mutual ties.
“A high-level Afghanistan-Pakistan meeting that was hosted by the British Government In London with the aim to discuss and agree on a mechanism for genuine bilateral cooperation on fighting terrorism, agree on steps and measures to improve the current hostile bilateral relations and mutual trust has been concluded very positively,” revealed the Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan.
