Punjab governor approves amended drug act

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has signed amended drug act into law and it has been implemented in the whole province.

After the approval from the governor, the Punjab government has issued gazette notification as well.

On the other hand, pharmaceuticals companies and chemists are protesting against the new drug act, and medical stores are closed for the second day as well in several cities.

The pharmacists and chemists are observing black day against Monday’s bombing that claimed lives of 14 people and left 100 others injured.

Rafique Rajwana has also passed five other laws, including an amendment in the local bodies act, Home Economics University, land record authority act, civil administration act, and property act.
