Police prevented the marriage of a 13-year-old girl and a 50-year-old man here on Monday.
According to media reports, the groom-to-be, Ahmad, was unable to conceive a child with his first wife.
Due to timely information provided by neighbours, the police were able to prevent the marriage from taking place.
Ahmed and the father of the girl have been arrested.
