A minor girl was killed and seven other members of a family were injured when the roof of their slum house collapsed.
According to rescue sources, in early morning on Wednesday, the roof of slum house on Chakra Road area of Dhok Gujjra collapsed in which eight people along with women and children were stuck under debris.
Rescue teams rushed at spot and shifted the injured to hospital while one and a half year old baby girl identified as Musteera died as she was in a critical condition.
The other injured have been identified as Arshad, Tayyaba, Minhas, Iqra, Pakhori, Imran and Khwaja, who are under treatment in a local hospital. The affected family belongs to Muhmand Agency and the family breadwinner drives a rickshaw in Rawalpindi.
