SUKKUR: A minor girl was killed and seven other members of a family injured when the roof of a house collapsed in Sukkur on Monday.
The roof collapsed amid rains in the city. The deceased girl was identified as Alisha. Injured include elderly woman Manaan, girl Nazia, Rashid, Majid, Zohaib, Abdul Hameed and Abdul Majeed.
The area people rushed to the scene and pulled out the body of the minor girl and injured. The body and injured were brought to Civil Hospital Sukkur for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.
The condition of some injured was stated to be serious. The family lived in a rented house which was stated to be weak. Further investigation was underway.
