Punjab’s progress linked to Maryam Nawaz’s fashion? Ken’s comment leaves the internet puzzled

DUBAI: The internet is buzzing with confusion after popular influencer Ken, also known as Adnan Zafar, linked the progress of Punjab to Maryam Nawaz’s fashion choices. The statement came during his coverage of the extravagant wedding between Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar and Shanzeh Ali Rohail, which became a social media sensation.

While the wedding itself grabbed attention, the fashion of the attendees, particularly Maryam Nawaz and Marriyum Aurangzeb, became the talk of the town. Maryam Nawaz made waves with her ensemble choices—wearing a yellow Nomi Ansari outfit for the mehndi night and a green Iqbal Hussain creation paired with a matching Valentino bag for the reception. The fashion statements sparked mixed reactions online, with some accusing her of trying to outshine the bride, while others, including Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, voiced their admiration for Maryam Nawaz’s look.

In a video shared with his 3.4 million Instagram followers, Ken, in collaboration with PML-N’s official Instagram, remarked, “Of course the region that has a Chief Minister whose fashion sense is so ‘on spot’ is the one region that is prospering the most.” This comment left many scratching their heads, wondering how fashion could be tied to the province’s prosperity.

The statement quickly sparked a wave of reactions. Content creator Ansar A humorously stitched Ken’s video, highlighting the contrast between fashion and the actual development in Punjab, further intensifying the online conversation.

While Ken’s comment was likely meant to praise Maryam Nawaz’s fashion sense, it seems to have left many wondering about the connection between stylish bags and the region’s growth.
