Aitchison College Junior National Tennis Championship sees thrilling pre-quarterfinal action

LAHORE: The Aitchison College Junior National Tennis Championship continued in full swing at Aitchison College, Mall Road, Lahore, featuring a series of thrilling pre-quarterfinal matches across multiple age categories. Young tennis players from across the country showcased their skill, consistency, and competitive spirit in front of an enthusiastic audience.

In the Boys Under-18 pre-quarterfinals, Asad Zaman produced a commanding performance, defeating Abdur Rehman Pirzada 6-0, 6-0, while Ahtesham Humayun displayed excellent control to beat M Umar Ali 6-2, 6-0, Amir Mazari (Aitchison) cruised past Zohaib Amjad 6-0, 6-1, Zohaib Afzal Malik registered an impressive 6-0, 6-2 victory over Ohad-e-Mustafa.

In a gripping three-set contest, Ruhab Faisal edged out Abdullah Pirzada 5-7, 6-0, 6-3 while Hussain Ali Rizwan overpowered Aryaan Hassan 6-0, 6-1 and Hamza Ali Rizwan outclassed Abdullah Sajjad Wahla 6-0, 6-0 to secure his place in the next round.

The Boys Under-14 pre-quarterfinals also witnessed impressive displays of young talent. M Shayan Afridi defeated Muhammad Daniyal (KPK) 4-1, 4-1, while Muhammad Muaz prevailed over Moazam Babar 4-0, 4-1. M Ayan of Fatima Group eased past Ahmad Fareed Yawar 4-0, 4-1, and M Ibrahim Gill fought back to overcome Syed Abdullah 4-1, 2-4, 4-0 in a hard-fought battle. Ohad-e-Mustafa was in fine form as he blanked Zayd Mansoor 4-0, 4-0, while Zohaib Amjad defeated Ahmad Khuda Bakhsh 4-0, 4-2. In other matches, M Umar Ali beat Ali Yousaf 4-2, 4-2, and M Ayan Khan triumphed over M Musa Ali 4-0, 4-2.

In the Boys Under-12 pre-quarterfinals, emerging players continued to impress with dominant wins. Muhammad Muaz of Fatima Group outclassed Raahim Faisal 4-0, 4-0, while Mustafa Uzair Rana recorded an identical 4-0, 4-0 victory against Mustafa Zia. M Ibraheem Hussain Gill defeated Syed Suffyan 4-0, 4-1, and M Ehsan Bari overcame M Mamnoon Bari 4-0, 4-1. Meanwhile, M Faizan blanked Murtaza Manoo 4-0, 4-0, and Ashtar Alam Khan eased past Wali M Hassan with a 4-0, 4-0 scoreline.

In the Girls Under-18 category, Eesha Rabi showcased exceptional control and precision, defeating Sahib Jamal 6-0, 6-0, while Ayza Anum displayed confidence and consistency to beat Alizay 6-1, 6-1 and advance to the quarterfinals.
