LAHORE: In a strange and unusual case, Lahore police have formed a special team to investigate the disappearance of a woman, who her mother claims was abducted by jinns (demons). The incident reportedly took place in the Kahna area, where the woman, Fouzia Bibi, has been missing for six years.
The newly constituted Special Investigation Team (SIT) is tasked with locating Fouzia and is working under the supervision of DIG Investigations Lahore, Zeeshan Raza. The team includes senior officers such as SSP Asim Kamboh from the Punjab Investigation Branch and SP Model Town Investigations Lahore Muhammad Ayaz, along with other law enforcement officials.
The case, originally filed under Section 365 (kidnapping) in 2019, has now been reopened with the formation of the SIT, which is investigating from multiple angles to determine her whereabouts. The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Justice Aalia Neelum, has ordered that efforts be intensified for the woman’s recovery.
According to her mother, Fouzia, a mother of two, was taken by jinns six years ago, and despite repeated efforts, her whereabouts remain unknown. Police are now following up on the case to try and resolve this mysterious disappearance.
