‘Jinn Ki Shaadi Unki Shaadi’ scene sparks intense reactions online

The latest episode of Jinn Ki Shaadi Unki Shaadi has sparked a mixed response from viewers, particularly on social media. The show, which combines horror and comedy, has gained attention for its unique approach and visual effects, but not all reactions have been positive.

Featuring actors like Wahaj Ali, Sehar Khan, Arsalan Naseer, and Romaisa Khan, the drama is airing on HUM TV Network and has gained a following. However, the show’s special effects, especially a scene where a character splits into two after emitting black smoke, have left many viewers unimpressed.

Some users on X criticized the quality of the visual effects, with one user commenting, “There’s no way you can make this and be proud of it.” Others lamented the shift in HUM TV’s drama direction, pointing out that the channel used to produce critically acclaimed shows like Yakeen Ka Safar and Zindagi Gulzaar Hai. They expressed dissatisfaction with the current trend of supernatural dramas featuring poor VFX.

On the other hand, some defended the show, acknowledging the budget limitations of Pakistan’s television industry. “VFX is a direct result of the budget,” one user pointed out. “For the average budget of most HUM TV dramas, this is pretty good.” Despite this, the overacting in the scene was still deemed unbearable by many viewers.

A few users praised the show’s director, Saif e Hasan, for his work. One fan wrote, “What direction, cinematography, VFX, everything is so perfect. Kudos to the whole team of Jinn Ki Shaadi Unki Shaadi and most importantly, Saife sir.”

Others drew comparisons to Indian TV shows, noting the increasing similarity between Pakistani dramas and Indian content. “What is this Naagin-type show? When did we become Indian television?” one user asked.

As Pakistani dramas continue to experiment with new genres and visual effects, social media remains divided on the results. Fans and critics alike are watching closely to see how the industry evolves.
