Kensington Palace braces as Prince William decides to break Royal protocol in television appearance

Prince William is set to step away from his usual formal image in a surprising television appearance, showing a side of himself rarely seen by the public. The future king of England will feature in the third season of Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy, a show focused on global travel and adventurous experiences.

Social media confirmed that William will join host Eugene Levy on trips to London, Mexico, and India, participating in activities from Levy’s bucket list. In a trailer for the episode airing on September 19, William shares laughs and even jokes about one of the tasks—having a drink with the host—highlighting a more approachable side of the royal.

Royal experts say this marks a notable departure from traditional protocol, as members of the monarchy rarely display such informality, especially someone preparing for the throne.

Public reaction is divided. Some view the appearance as a positive move to make the royal family seem more relatable, while others feel it challenges longstanding royal conventions. Regardless, the show is expected to increase William’s visibility and popularity, offering a glimpse of a more natural, personable prince.
