David Hasselhoff, 72, has opened up about a recent health setback, revealing that he is preparing for knee surgery next week. The “Baywatch” star was photographed being pushed in a wheelchair through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Monday, after experiencing significant pain.
Accompanied by his wife, Hayley Roberts, Hasselhoff explained to a paparazzo that he was struggling with pain, which led to his decision to undergo knee surgery soon. Despite his condition, the actor appeared to be in high spirits, flashing a smile as he was assisted through the airport.

ff dressed casually for the outing in a blue-and-white striped button-up shirt, black T-shirt, and black pants, paired with a black baseball cap for a low-key look. His wife, Roberts, 45, also opted for a laid-back ensemble, wearing a blue button-up, brown pants, and a brown sweater with sunglasses.
The couple had just returned to Los Angeles from Cancun, Mexico, before the airport appearance. This health issue follows a difficult period for Hasselhoff, who earlier in March chose not to attend the funeral of his ex-wife, Pamela Bach, who tragically passed away by suicide at 62 on March 6 in her Hollywood Hills home.

At the time of Bach’s death, Hasselhoff expressed his grief through social media, saying, “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult period but kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
Hasselhoff and Bach, who were married from 1989 to 2006, shared two children, Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32.
