JDW records second victory in President’s Trophy Grade-II

LAHORE: JDW, the development squad of the Multan Sultans, recorded their second victory in the PCB-organised three-day President’s Trophy Grade-II at the Diamond Cricket Ground.

After defeating OneTen Communication in their second-round fixture, JDW routed JJ’s Consultancy Group by an innings and 144 runs. In their first-round match against Ghani Institute, JDW had secured first-innings lead points in a drawn encounter.

JDW’s left-arm spinner Mohammad Junaid returned impressive figures of 16.2-8-21-5, while right-arm fast bowler Suliman Khan took 3 for 24 as JJ’s Consultancy Group, resuming the day at 40 for two, were bowled out for 101 — conceding a 245-run first-innings deficit.

In the fourth-round match, JDW will face Army at the Shoaib Akhtar Stadium on April 27.
