Zafar Gohar picks up a 10-wicket haul in County Championship

ENGLAND: Pakistan all-rounder Zafar Gohar has delivered a superb performance as he registered his debut 10-wicket haul against Northamptonshire.

Featuring for Gloucestershire, Zafar claimed 5/134 in the first innings and returned to figures of 5/62 in the second innings.

Despite all his efforts, Gloucestershire failed to register a victory as Northamptonshire’s Will Young and Ryan Rickelton led their team to a two-wicket victory.

Zafar Gohar has put up some decent performances and has featured regularly amongst the wicket-takers; the left-arm spinner has taken 32 wickets at an average of 35.12 in 9 matches.

Amongst those 32 wickets, he has three five-wicket hauls and a single 10-wicket haul which are also now his best bowling figures.

This year’s County Championship has seen a number of terrific performances from Pakistani players including the likes of Shan Masood, Mohammad Abbas, Hasan Ali, and Mohammad Rizwan.

Another forgotten bowler, Mohammad Abbas, also returned the figures of 6/62 and took his overall tally to 37 wickets in 9 matches including two five-wicket hauls.
