PCB to set up camp to groom young spinners

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has planned to set up a special camp after Eid-ul-Fitr to groom young spinners.

The camp, proposed at the National High Performance Centre, will feature spinners who have excelled in domestic cricket.

According to reports, a pool of spinners will be set up separately for Test, ODI and T20 formats.

In this regard, the selection committee has sought a list from the provincial coaches. The list will be finalised on the return of Chief Selector Muhammad Waseem from Umrah. One such camp has also been proposed for fast bowlers, which will be set up on a later date.

Earlier, Waseem had lamented the lack of quality spinners before the series against Australia.
