While Prime Minister Imran Khan’s “surprise” to dissolve National Assembly on Sunday irked the members of the Opposition benches, it was lauded by many.
Among these were former captain Waqar Younis and all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who lauded the “masterstroke” player by the premier today.
Taking to his official Twitter handle, all-rounder Hafeez called Imran Khan a “true legend.”
Calling the move a “masterstroke”, Younis wrote: “As always proud of you skipper […] #noconfidencemotion crushed.”
Earlier, President Arif Alvi approved the dissolution of the National Assembly on the advice of PM Imran Khan.
Before this, the NA deputy speaker ruled to adjourn the session held for voting on the no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan, terming it “unconstitutional.”
