RAWALPINDI: Police have registered a case after a psychologist working at Central Jail Adiala reported that a former prisoner had been harassing her after his release.

According to police, the complainant, a Rawalpindi resident, stated in her first information report that she works as a psychologist at Adiala jail. She said the man had been contacting her repeatedly through phone calls and messages following his release.

In her complaint, she also alleged that the former prisoner came to her home a few days ago, handed her father four panaflex sheets carrying her name and photographs, and left a handwritten note. The FIR further stated that the man had previously been jailed in a case involving attempted murder and kidnapping.

The psychologist told police that the man’s conduct, including coming to her home with the intention of harassing her, amounted to a threat. Police said a case had been registered on her complaint and an investigation was under way.
