Karachi doctor shot dead during Rs25 million robbery near Teen Talwar

KARACHI: A doctor was shot dead by armed robbers after resisting a robbery near Teen Talwar in Karachi's Clifton area, where the suspects escaped with Rs25 million in cash.

According to police, the victim was travelling with the cash when unidentified assailants intercepted the vehicle and attempted to snatch the money. During the robbery, the doctor was shot and sustained critical injuries.

He was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Police said the suspects fled the scene after taking the cash, and an investigation has been launched to trace and arrest those involved.

Law enforcement officials have collected evidence from the crime scene, including CCTV footage from nearby locations, to identify the attackers and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The killing has renewed concerns over street crime and armed robberies in Karachi, particularly involving individuals carrying large amounts of cash.
