Pakistan, Saudi Arabia sign MoU for Jeddah stadium project

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a memorandum of understanding for a new stadium project in Jeddah, opening a fresh area of cooperation between the two countries in cricket infrastructure.

The agreement was signed on Monday by Saudi Cricket Federation Chairman Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Muhammad Al Saud and Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who also serves as the interior minister.

The two sides will work together on planning the stadium, developing related infrastructure, sharing technical knowledge and improving operational standards. The arrangement also brings Pakistan’s experience in stadium design, construction and cricket facility management into the project.

The partnership was described as a move that supports the growth of cricket in the Middle East while also aligning with Saudi Arabia’s broader push to expand its sports sector.
