Reshuffle brings new deputy commissioner, police chief to Rawalpindi
Punjab has transferred several senior civil and police officials in Rawalpindi, including the commissioner, deputy commissioner and city police officer. Captain (retired) Nadeem Nasir and Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera have been appointed to key posts.

RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has replaced key administrative and police officials in Rawalpindi in a wider reshuffle across the region, according to official notifications issued by the Punjab chief secretary on Saturday.
Under the transfer orders, Commissioner Rawalpindi Aamir Khattak, Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Shehryar Shirazi and Assistant Commissioner (Saddar) Hakim Khan have been directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD), Punjab.
In the police department, City Police Officer Rawalpindi Khalid Mehmood Hamdani has also been transferred. The notification said he has been asked to report to the Central Police Office in Lahore. Meanwhile, Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, who had been serving as DIG Operations in the Punjab Counter Terrorism Department, has been posted as the new CPO Rawalpindi.
The government has also appointed Captain (retired) Nadeem Nasir as the new deputy commissioner of Rawalpindi. He was previously serving as deputy commissioner Faisalabad.
