Five injured in attack on ANP leader’s house in Swat
Five people were injured after gunmen attacked the house of ANP leader Malik Mumtaz Khan in Swat, police said. An ambulance carrying the wounded was also fired upon, leaving a rescue worker injured.

SWAT: Five people were injured when unidentified gunmen attacked the residence of Awami National Party Swat district vice-president Malik Mumtaz Khan in the Shakardara area, police said.
Matta police station officials said the assailants also opened fire on an ambulance that was taking the wounded to hospital, leaving a rescue worker injured. Security personnel reached the area after the incident.
Police said an investigation had been launched to identify and arrest those involved. Officials said the motive for the attack had not yet been determined, while further investigation was continuing.
The family of Malik Mumtaz Khan has previously been affected by militant violence. According to ANP sources, seven members of the family have been killed in separate incidents over the years. No group had claimed responsibility for the latest attack by the time the report was published.
