Police in Dera Ghazi Khan said three women, including two sisters, were arrested in separate raids and more than 6.8kg of ice was recovered. Two more suspects were also held in Sakhi Sarwar with 43kg of narcotics, police said.

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Police in Dera Ghazi Khan said they arrested three women, including two sisters, in separate anti-narcotics operations and recovered more than 6.8 kilograms of crystal meth, commonly known as ice, from their possession.
According to police, the arrests were made as part of an ongoing campaign against drug trafficking in different parts of the city. Separate cases have been registered against the three suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, while further investigation is underway.
Raids in Shehzad Colony and City Garden
Police said two of the operations were carried out in Shehzad Colony near the general bus stand on information provided by an informer. In the first raid, officers arrested Sana and said they recovered 2,200 grams of ice from her. In a separate operation, her sister Kiran was taken into custody and police said 2,150 grams of ice was seized from her possession.
In a third raid in City Garden, conducted on a tip-off, police arrested Humaira, also known as Sabira Sultana. They said 2,450 grams of ice was recovered during that operation.
Investigators are questioning the three women to trace the drug supply chain, identify facilitators and apprehend other people allegedly linked to the trade, police said.
Two more suspects arrested at Sakhi Sarwar
Police also said Sakhi Sarwar Police intercepted an attempt to move narcotics from Balochistan into Punjab and arrested two alleged smugglers in separate operations. They said the total haul in those cases was 43kg of narcotics, including 3kg of ice and 40kg of hashish.
Police said the suspected traffickers had entered Punjab and passed at least three border military police checkposts — Bewata, Khair and Rakhi Gajj — before being stopped at the Sakhi Sarwar checkpost.
In the first operation, police said Ijaz Ahmed, a resident of Ziarat district in Balochistan, was arrested during routine checking and 3kg of ice was recovered from him. In another operation, Akhlaq, a resident of Kohlu district, Balochistan, was arrested and police said 40kg of hashish was seized from his possession.
Separate cases have also been registered against both men under the Anti-Narcotics Act. Police said investigators were working to uncover the inter-provincial trafficking network, identify its facilitators and arrest other people involved in the smuggling operation.
