Excise department seizes 20kg of crystal meth in DI Khan operation

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Excise Department conducted a successful raid in Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the seizure of 20 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as 'ice', according to officials.

Authorities stated that the narcotics were discovered hidden inside the spare tyre and a specially designed concealed compartment of a car. The operation led to the arrest of a suspect, who was taken into custody at the scene.

Officials highlighted that the recovery was made possible due to specific intelligence, which prompted a targeted search of the vehicle. The seized drugs were removed from the vehicle and have been taken into evidence for further investigation.

The Excise Department has initiated legal proceedings against the arrested individual, and further inquiries are underway to determine any potential connections to larger drug trafficking networks.
