Policeman among two held in motorcycle snatching case

FAISALABAD: Police have detained a serving constable and another suspect in connection with motorcycle-snatching incidents and recovered four stolen motorcycles, according to police sources.

The constable was identified as Saqlein, who was posted at Madina Town Police Station. Police sources said he and his alleged accomplice were taken into custody during an operation linked to the case.

According to the police account, the investigation advanced after officers traced a stolen motorcycle fitted with a GPS tracker to the constable's residence. The development led to the arrest and the recovery of four motorcycles believed to have been stolen.

The matter surfaced a few days ago when, police said, two armed men riding a motorcycle snatched another motorcycle from a citizen in Millat Town. Police are treating the detained constable and his accomplice as suspects in such incidents.
