Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Pakistan on Tuesday, according to IRNA. The trip follows talks between Iran and the United States in Switzerland that were mediated by Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday, according to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, which cited the Iranian president’s office.
The reported visit comes after talks between Tehran and Washington were held in Switzerland. The discussions were mediated by Pakistan.
Habibollah Abbasi, director of public relations at the president’s office, said one of the aims of Pezeshkian’s trip is to thank Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his role in the diplomatic process between Iran and the United States.
Abbasi said expressing appreciation to the Pakistani premier for "his mediation between Iran and the United States" is among the objectives of the visit.
