Pakistan Army wins top honours at International Pace Sticking Competition in UK

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army, represented by the Pakistan Military Academy, secured first position at the prestigious International Pace Sticking Competition 2026 held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom.

According to a statement issued on Friday, the Pakistan Military Academy team delivered an outstanding performance, sweeping all major honours at the annual international military competition.

The Pakistani contingent won the 1st Overall Team Trophy, while also securing the coveted Best Pace Sticker and Best Driver awards, marking a clean sweep of the event’s top distinctions.

The nine-member Pakistan Army team was led by Major Haider Gulzar, Adjutant of the Pakistan Military Academy, and arrived in the United Kingdom on June 5 to participate in the competition.

A total of 16 teams from armed forces around the world competed in the highly contested event, which is regarded as one of the premier military drill and ceremonial competitions hosted by Sandhurst.

Military officials said the achievement reflects the high standards of professional training, discipline and dedication maintained by the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

The victory is being viewed as another significant international accomplishment for the Pakistan Army, highlighting the professionalism and ceremonial excellence of the Pakistan Military Academy on a global stage.
