FO says nationality of four Italy dead unconfirmed
Pakistan's Foreign Office says the exact nationality of four people found dead in Italy has not yet been confirmed. The case is under investigation by local police, with forensic work also under way.

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office said on Tuesday that the nationality of four people found dead in Italy had not yet been confirmed, after reports linked the case to Pakistani victims.
In a statement, the FO said the deceased were being reported as Pakistanis, but added that their exact nationality was still unverified. It said the matter was under investigation by local police, who were also conducting forensic work.
The statement came after AFP, citing Corriere della Sera, reported that Italian police had detained two Pakistani nationals over the killing of four farm workers whose bodies were discovered in a burnt-out minivan in southern Italy.
The FO said confirmation on the identity and nationality of the deceased was still awaited as the investigation continued.
