Two terrorists killed in Lakki Marwat operation
Two terrorists were killed and one was injured in an intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat’s Kaichi Kamar area, a security official said. The official linked the slain militants to the recent Serai Naurang blast that killed 10 people, including two police officials.

LAKKI MARWAT: Two terrorists were killed and another was injured during an intelligence-based operation in the Kaichi Kamar area of Lakki Marwat district, according to a security official.
The official said on Saturday that the operation was launched after authorities received information about the presence of terrorists in the trans-river belt known as the Kurrum Par area. He said the bodies of the two slain terrorists were taken into custody following the raid.
According to the official, the militants killed in the operation were directly involved in the recent Serai Naurang blast. He said that attack left 10 people dead, including two police officials.
The blast had triggered fear and panic in the area, with residents demanding immediate and firm action against those responsible, the official said.
Operation followed tracing of network
The security official said that after the Sarai Naurang attack, security forces tracked the terrorist network by using human intelligence as well as modern technology. He said the network was then dismantled in what he described as a successful operation.
He termed the raid a significant development against the militants linked to the Serai Naurang blast and other subversive activities in the area.
No further details were provided in the report about the identity of the terrorists, the condition of the injured militant, or whether any weapons or other material were recovered during the operation.
The development comes amid continued security concerns in Lakki Marwat and surrounding areas, where militant violence has repeatedly drawn responses from law enforcement and security agencies. In this case, the official specifically linked the operation to efforts launched after the Serai Naurang blast and said the action was based on prior intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the Kurrum Par belt.
The operation took place in Kaichi Kamar, an area of Lakki Marwat district, and was presented by the official as part of a broader effort to break up networks involved in recent attacks. He said the action marked a breakthrough against those responsible for the Serai Naurang bombing as well as other acts of sabotage.
