Man fakes kidnapping after killing wife
Investigation police in Lahore said they arrested a man accused of killing his wife in Kahna and then filing a fake kidnapping case to mislead investigators. Police said the suspect was traced with the help of modern technology.

LAHORE: Investigation police said they had solved the blind murder case of a young woman in Kahna by arresting her husband, who is accused of killing her and then attempting to mislead investigators through a fabricated kidnapping story.
Investigators said the suspect allegedly killed his wife following domestic disputes. Police said he suffocated her with a pillow.
Investigators said the accused later moved the body on a motorcycle during the night and threw it into Rohi Nullah in an effort to hide the crime.
Police investigation
Police said the suspect then went to the relevant police station and registered a kidnapping case against unidentified persons in order to present the incident as an abduction.
The case was traced with the help of modern technology, which led to the suspect’s identification and arrest.
Authorities said the arrest helped uncover what they described as an attempt to disguise a murder as a kidnapping case.
The police said they would pursue the matter through coordination between investigators and prosecutors so that the accused could be given strict punishment under the law.
The case centres on the killing of a young woman in the Kahna area, where police said the husband’s alleged effort to divert suspicion initially took the form of a false complaint about her abduction by unknown individuals.
Investigators maintained that the woman’s death was linked to domestic disputes and that the husband’s subsequent actions, including transporting and dumping the body, were aimed at concealing the alleged murder.
The investigation police said the suspect is now in custody after being tracked down through technological means.
Authorities reiterated that they would seek to ensure the case is taken forward effectively through police-prosecution coordination.
