Husband, brother held over alleged torture killing of woman in Lahore
Kahna police in Lahore arrested a man and his brother after a woman allegedly died from torture linked to domestic disputes. The case was registered on the complaint of the victim’s brother.
LAHORE: Police in Kahna arrested a man and his brother on Tuesday after the man allegedly tortured his wife to death following domestic disputes, according to police.
The suspects were identified as Salman and his brother Usman. A case was registered against them on the complaint of the deceased woman’s brother, Javed.
In his complaint, Javed told police that Salman had been humiliating and assaulting his 35-year-old sister over minor household matters. He alleged that on the day of the incident, Salman, with Usman’s involvement, beat her and left her critically injured.
Police said the woman died while she was being shifted to hospital. Her body was moved to the morgue for an autopsy, while the two suspects were taken into custody hours after the incident.
