LAHORE: The investigation wing of the local police on Sunday claimed to have apprehended a man they allege is responsible for the murder of a youth in the Sattokatla area.
The case surfaced after the body of the victim, identified as Nasir, was discovered under what officials described as mysterious circumstances. Following a preliminary probe, a police spokesperson alleged that the suspect in custody carried out the killing to settle a domestic grievance.
According to the police version of events, the suspect purportedly used a rope to strangle the victim and inflicted a fatal blow to the head. While the spokesperson asserted that the arrest "solves" the mystery surrounding Nasir’s death, the claims remain subject to judicial scrutiny. The suspect is currently being held for further questioning as authorities attempt to consolidate their evidence.
